Hyaluronic acid

Hyaluronic acid is a substance that naturally occurs in our body. Its task is to keep water in the tissues. Hyaluronic acid ( cross-linked ) treatments are performed to moisturise and firm the skin, eliminate wrinkles and furrows, and fill the lips. The procedure is carried out using an anesthetic gel and then hyaluronic acid is injected using a thin needle.

Fillers have a long-lasting but not permanent effect. The human body has its own system of enzymatic degradation of hyaluronic acid. The effect after the treatment lasts from 6 to 12 months. After this time, hyaluronic acid is naturally absorbed (it is biodegradable).

Before and after your treatment

It’s important for you to follow these recommendations before and after your treatment, to not disrupt results:

Before your treatment

♦️ Consult our facial treatment specialist first. The end results depend on the patient’s muscle structure and employed technique.
♦️ Make sure that specialist performing the procedure is aware of any preexisting health conditions or prescription medications that you take. They can advise you on any other necessary precautions.
♦️ Avoid blood thinners and alcohol for about a week prior to treatment. Doing so will reduce the risk of unwanted bruising.

After treatment

♦️ Ice treated area, drink lots of water, and avoid alcohol for at least 24.
♦️ Avoid massaging the treated area for 24 hours afterward.
♦️ Do not use swimming pools or saunas, because they can reduce the effect of the treatment.
♦️ Do not perform intense physical activity and avoid being face down after your treatment.
♦️ Do not place your body in a horizontal position for at least 4 hours after your treatment.
